about the euphoria project
Thank you so much for checking out my work! This project began a while ago when I was shooting with one of my friends who happened to have just started a gender exploration journey. We were just messing around and having fun when something magical happened. While looking through the photos, she nearly teared up seeing herself as if for the first time. If that isn’t gender euphoria, what is? I realized that photography has a unique power of showing us who we are in a new light that is even more powerful for queer and trans people in ever-changing relationships to themselves, especially documenting people over time. I love that the camera captures moments you could never see in a mirror - laughing with crinkled eyes, feeling safe with a loved one, or feeling powerful and sexy. Beyond that… I just think the world needs more trans joy. If you feel moved by this work, I hope you consider collaborating with me on your own euphoria shoot!
